Ahmed Nasef is a seasoned insurance executive with more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry in the region, more than half of which are at leadership and board level roles with international and regional insurers. Ahmed started his career with ACE Egypt (now Chubb) in 2003 in an underwriting role focusing on Property and Casualty lines of business, which later was broadened to include Accident & Health, Marine and Engineering lines. Ahmed was then appointed as Head of Technical and Operations early 2015.

In early 2015, Ahmed joined AXA General Insurance Company - Egypt as the Technical Director where he was responsible for the establishment of the P&C, Motor and Health lines of business including, setting up the technical teams, operations and business development. He was appointed as an Executive Board Member in 2016 and as CEO - P&C. In 2017 Ahmed was then appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of the Company.

Ahmed took on the role of Deputy CEO for the Middle East Region with RSA in 2022, where, as part of his scope, he looked after operations across UAE, Oman, KSA and Bahrain. Post the merger of NLGIC with RSA Middle East, forming Liva Group, Ahmed was appointed by the Group Board as Group Chief Commercial Lines and Reinsurance Officer where, as part of his scope, he was responsible for all Commercial Lines and Reinsurance operations across UAE, KSA, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.

Marie Elias is a highly regarded expert in the insurance industry with a distinguished career spanning over 15 years. She began her journey at ACE Group, where she focused on Property & Casualty (P&C) underwriting and developed a deep expertise in this area. In 2015, Marie moved to AXA, taking on the role of Head of CL & Retail. There, she played a key role in developing underwriting guidelines, building the technical team, and introducing new products. Her outstanding contributions led to her promotion to Chief Technical Officer for AXA Egypt in 2022. In this senior role, Marie has been instrumental in defining technical strategies and driving the company’s growth and profitability across P&C, Life and Health.

He began his career with Reliance Group in India before moving to the GCC, where he has since held pivotal leadership roles with renowned institutions such as Al Rajhi Takaful (Saudi Arabia), Gulf Union Insurance & Reinsurance (Bahrain), and Sharq Insurance (Qatar). Most recently, he gained valuable exposure in the United Kingdom.

Madhurr specializes in leading cross-functional teams, formulating and executing robust financial strategies, and driving software implementations that strengthen financial governance. His diverse expertise bridges strategic leadership with technical proficiency, making him a trusted advisor and change-maker in the industry. He is a distinguished member of leading professional bodies, including ICAEW (UK), CII (UK), ICAI (India), and III (India).

Ahmed Sherif is a seasoned technology executive with more than 20 years of IT leadership experience in the insurance industry across Egypt and the GCC. He began his career with the multinational insurer ACE Life Insurance Egypt (now Chubb Life Insurance), where he progressed through several technology roles and developed a strong foundation in insurance systems, infrastructure, and enterprise technology management.

Throughout his career, Ahmed has held leadership positions with leading multinational and regional insurance organizations, including Libano-Suisse Takaful, Misr Emirates Life Insurance (Salama Group), Kuwait Insurance and AXA Egypt. He has successfully led major technology transformation initiatives spanning infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity, cloud adoption, service management, and enterprise operations, helping organizations strengthen resilience, improve operational efficiency, and support sustainable business growth.

In 2020, Ahmed joined AXA Egypt, where he played a key role in driving strategic transformation initiatives across technology operations, cloud services, and enterprise infrastructure. His leadership contributed to enhancing service quality, strengthening operational resilience, and accelerating the organization’s digital transformation journey.

With over 22 years of experience, Jijo Thomas is a seasoned insurance leader known for driving distribution transformation, digital innovation, and operational efficiency across the region’s top insurance firms. He most recently served as General Manager at InsuranceMarket.ae, where he built and scaled the corporate division, introduced structured placement frameworks, and strengthened underwriting partnerships. Prior to that, he was Chief Distribution Officer and Executive Committee Member at Dubai National Insurance (DNI), leading a multi-channel distribution strategy and contributing to the company’s first-ever rating upgrade. He also assumed the Head of Brokers position at Sukoon Insurance, where he expanded the broker channel into one of the largest in the country and launched the region’s first fully digital insurance platforms. Earlier in his career, Jijo held leadership positions at MetLife India, First Abu Dhabi Bank, and Orient Insurance, developing expertise in channel management, bancassurance, and strategic partnerships. He holds an MBA, is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (FIII), and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII).

Dr. Ayman Zaaqoq is a physician and insurance executive with over 25 years of experience across healthcare, health insurance, claims management, operations, transformation, product development, and corporate strategy.

At Fidelity United, he serves as Chief Claims, Transformation & Strategy Officer, leading Medical Claims, Commercial Claims, Motor Claims, Transformation, Strategy, and the Project Management Office (PMO). His role focuses on strengthening operational performance, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring effective execution across key business functions.
